ECKA Engineering Contractors Limited was incorporated in 1991 with the aim of establishing the cause of fuel loss in Underground Storage Tanks (UST) and pipelines as well as calibrating of both USTs / ASTs and Vertical Tanks.

Ing. E.C.K. Amegashie, after more than 20 years with the then Mobil Oil Ghana now Total where he rose to the positions of Operations manager and Projects manager, realized the need to ensure the safety of the environment and check loss of petroleum products from filling & service stations of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).

After several talks with the then Director of petroleum at the Ministry of Energy and other stakeholders, Ing. E.C.K. Amegashie finally came up with a solution that led to the birth of ECKA Engineering Contractors Limited in 1991.

In 1991, he took a training programme –Basic & Advance - with Health Consultant in the USA, which was founded by William Purpora, and is the pacesetter in providing leak detection services to major oil companies in the United States.

Our company is a synergy of able and experienced individuals drawn from the various facets of the oil industry and other engineering disciplines whose active contribution is aimed at steering ECKA to championing leakage detection services in Africa.

ECKA Engineering Contractors Limited has since been providing second to none services to Major Oil Companies in Ghana and other countries in the West African Sub-region.
